There was nothing quite like jumping on your favorite server for an evening, slowly making good friends, and laughing into the early hours of the morning. In the early days of the FPS Counterstrike, you could play on public/privately owned servers, give a 2-player (1vs1) head-to-head challenge, and eventually enjoy playing with a massive 64 players, 32 on each side.
